New Nursing Home Quality, 340B & CBSA Fields Added

The following new data components have been incorporated into the Portal:

Nursing Homes:  Quality Data
Sourced from CMS Nursing Home Compare, new fields include ratings information on health inspections, deficiencies, quality of care measures & staff ratios for Medicare and Medicaid-certified Nursing Homes. Information is available on the new NH Quality tab at the facility-detail level, as well as through full downloads.

Hospitals:  340B Status
HRSA-managed 340B status "limits the cost of covered outpatient drugs to certain federal grantees, federally-qualified health center look-alikes and qualified disproportionate share hospitals." 340B ID number & start date fields can be found under Facility Specialty at the facility-detail level and under Hospital Designations in the Field Chooser.

All Markets:  CBSA Fields
CBSA (Core Based Statistical Area) is the official term for a functional region based around an urban center of at least 10,000 people. CBSA code & CBSA area description fields can be found under Facility Information at both the facility-detail level and in the Field Chooser.

Each of these data additions have been added to their respective Portal market segment (where ever applicable) at no additional charge.
