2/10/2011 - Billian Sample Hospital (Atlanta) plans to spend $12 million to expand and modernize its ER and trauma unit. The project entails separating the two areas; the trauma unit will be relocated to a larger space in order to increase from four to six treatment bays. The project will allow the ER to grow by about 10%, including the addition of an eight-bed observation unit and a CT scanner. Pending regulatory approval, the project is slated for completion in late spring 2012.

10/16/2010 - Billian Sample Hospital (Atlanta) named Carol Jones as the new CFO, replacing John Smith. Jones joined the hospital earlier this year as SVP for revenue cycle and special projects. Prior to joining Billian, she served as CFO at Silver Springs Medical Center (Buffalo, NY).

7/21/2010 - Billian Sample Hospital (Atlanta) will soon file a CON application seeking permission to undergo a $10 million expansion and renovation project for its emergency department. Billian Sample Hospital (Atlanta) owns the public hospital.
