Bringing Healthcare Data InFocus

Billian's HealthDATA maintains millions of pieces of data to create a large mosaic of the healthcare industry. As impressive a "picture" as that is, it does not really convey the scope of the rich information and the infinite opportunities for sales and marketing applications that exists within this larger framework.

To metaphorically hold a magnifying glass up to the data and focus on smaller components in a more visual format, the Billian's HealthDATA website now includes a new feature called HealthDATA InFocus, which highlights specific data points in specific market segments.

The idea of showcasing data in a more illustrative way began in Billian's HealthDATA Portal, then as an opening article on BHD's bi-weekly Vitals e-newsletter, which publishes the latest hospital industry news. The first Vitals topic, Top Not-for-Profit Nursing Home Corporations by Affiliates, was extremely well received with an 82 percent click rate based on the number of recipients who opened the e-newsletter. The success was repeated with subsequent issues, leading to the development of regularly posted illustrative market summary reports on the BHD homepage, making it readily available to a larger audience.

Website visitors can view the most recent InFocus entry -- posted every two weeks -- to learn more about healthcare financials, information technology, market share, and industry leaders across multiple, relational market segments including Hospitals & Healthcare Systems, Integrated Delivery Networks, Group Purchasing Organizations, Nursing Homes & Corporations, Assisted Living Facilities & Corporations, and Ambulatory Surgery Centers & Corporations.
